Malasadas

 

1 pkg. yeast
1/4 cup warm water
(Dissolve yeast in water)

6 eggs
1 13-ounce can of Carnation evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups of warm water
1/2 block of margarine
1/4 cup Crisco
1/2 cup sugar
7 cups flour
 


Combine all ingredients and knead dough until dough no longer sticks to your hands while kneading.  Place in a greased bowl, cover tightly, and let
rise approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours.  Turn dough once and let rise an additional 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Drop into hot oil and fry until golden brown.  Coat with sugar and serve hot.
